View your message timeline

When you are logged into Eduspot, you will first see your timeline. This contains all the messages you have been sent about all of your children. Each Eduspot is tagged with various information so you know what school it has come from, which child it is about, what school system sent the message (as other school systems can use Eduspot to make contact – for example, a payment system for a school trip).

You can filter the timeline to see just certain types of messages, and you can flag messages as important to easily find again later.

If you swipe to the left, you will reveal other timelines, one each for your children, and more. This gives you another way to filter the messages. Icons allow you quickly navigate between these timelines.

View up-to-date student information

Eduspot gives parents and carers access to near-real-time data from your school’s database. This can include:

• Your child’s timetable
• Staff that teach your children or are associated with your child
• Your child’s attendance and statistics
• Your child’s behaviour record
• Your child’s achievement (positive behaviour, awards)
• Your child’s exam timetable (secondary schools only)
• Your child’s assessment and progress stats
• The school calendar – containing published events and important dates.

Note: Schools can limit the information that is made available to parents. Please discuss all matters relating to this with your school. Currently, all schools in Scotland do not have access to this feature.

Quick access to payments and more

Eduspot provides your school with the ability to link other school systems to the app, which means you receive notifications all in one place, plus you can open links to other systems and go straight in without having to leave the app and login to something else.

For example, if your school uses SchoolMoney and connects it to Eduspot, you’ll see notifications about payment requests for school trips in your message timeline, and you’ll be able to tap on the link to go straight into SchoolMoney and make the payment.

Which systems you can access in Eduspot will depend on what your school has enabled. We are actively working on adding new integrations all the time, so in future there will be even more systems available in one place.
